OK- lahoma

so i'm in oklahoma at a hard-to-explain-in-one-word conference. It's called DART at first we thought it stood for disaster and relief training (not far from the truth) BUT it really stands for disaster aid response team. Anyway, it's a lot of info packed in one week. Today we had a session about world religions. The best part was.... well here are some of my notes... hopefully they will make sense... he was talking about 4 characteristics that set Christ apart from every other religious leader.

Whoever Jesus met he accepted them unconditionally.

He attentively listened to people. In Luke 2 he listened and asked questions when he was only 12 years old.

He had a genuine appreciation for the goodness he saw. (Good Samaritan, Lady with the sixpence etc.)

He confronted people with care.

There were lots of other great things that were said, but i couldn't write them all down... he talked about Hinduism, Islam and Buddhism ... but yeah I'm tired and we have so many more sessions to go to.... I'm serious this is a packed week. I'm getting tired .. I can't post this tonight... we only get limited internet access... pretty much only during classes and so in our room we don't have it... so I'll post this tomorrow... wed we are doing land-mine awareness.... so dad should get some pics for us.... maybe I can get them up sometime.... or maybe when I get back... welp I've got to go now... have a good day
